Our Social Outreach and Pro-Life Committees are once again reaching out to HOPE in Northern Virginia (our neighbor on Park Avenue). The HOPE house is paid for, but there are many everyday expenses that go along with owning a house as well as helping pregnant mothers and their babies. Diapers, wipes, baby bottles and other items need to be purchased regularly.
On the weekend of May 5th and 6th, the Outreach Committee and Pro-Life Committee will be handing out baby bottles after all the Masses. We invite parishioners to fill the bottles during the week with coins, bills or a check (made out to St. James) and return the bottles on May 12th and May 13th (Mother's Day). Both the Social Outreach Committee and the Pro-Life Committee will be weekend collecting bottles. Your children may want to get involved, too. Please encourage them to do so.
