Thousand of young men and women have been the beneficiaries of an outstanding St. James education.

Recognized in 1999 as a US Department of Education Blue Ribbon School, St. James was the first elementary school in our Diocese to receive this award. In 2014 we again led the Diocese by receiving our second Blue Ribbon designation, one of only 7 schools in the Commonwealth of Virginia to do so. In 2020, we became the first school in our Diocese to receive a third Blue Ribbon.  By supporting our efforts you enhance the quality of education for our present and future students.  Our students are joyful, intelligent and engaged individuals who understand the importance of Christian service and gratitude.  Your gifts are an investment – an investment in the future not only of our country, but of our faith. For the students who sit in our desks today will fill the pews of churches tomorrow.  As recipients of your generosity, they can go on to accomplish great things with an outstanding academic foundation and a firm faith formation.

Annual Appeal 2021

The Saint James School's Annual Appeal begins with Giving Tuesday on November 30, 2021.  The Appeal was established in 2012 and keeps our 100+ year old school competitive and affordable to all who desire a Catholic education. 

$40,000 Challenge Match!

A generous couple has come forward and offered to kick off this year’s Annual Appeal with a $40,000 challenge match. This couple fervently believes in the importance of Catholic education and has a particular love for our award-winning parish school. They believe that our teachers are the finest educators they have ever encountered and that through them, our students are able to not only thrive academically but grow in the virtues of service.  By providing this matching gift, this couple hopes to inspire many donations to Saint James Catholic School. Every dollar you donate will be matched up to $40,000. It is our hope that this matching gift will help us achieve our $80,000 goal in record time.
