February 2 is Candlemas
Since the early centuries, Christians have marked the Feast of the Presentation of the Lord by blessing candles for use in church and home. We will bless candles this year during the 8:30 a.m. Mass on Saturday, February 2. All who are there will be invited to take a candle home to use during the year for special celebrations and feast days.
In this way, We will keep the seasons of the year together in the Light of Christ, a Light no darkness can overpower.
