If you are coming to St. James Church or School today, Thursday, March 14, or tomorrow, Friday, March 15, please keep the following in mind - W. Broad Street will be one lane only in both directions from West Street to Oak Street (900 Block of West Broad Street/Rte 7)
From the City of Falls Church: The 900 block of W. Broad Street (Rt. 7/Leesburg Pike from West Street to Oak Street) will be down to one lane in each direction for a continuous duration, starting at 9 a.m. on Thursday, March 14 and going as late as 3:30 p.m. on Friday, March 15. This will affect multiple rush hours as well as daytime and nighttime driving. The closure is likely to cause delays, and drivers are encouraged to seek alternate routes. The lane closures are due to unexpected but unavoidable sewer work that is required for a private development project under construction. The City apologizes for any delays and appreciates the understanding of commuters and residents.
