Dawn Keeler, a member of the Sacred Heart Community of Secular Carmelites in Frederick, Maryland, will be leading “A Silent Prayer Workshop: Learn to Pray With Saint Teresa of Avila,” on Holy Saturday, April 13, from 9:30am to Noon in the Knecht Conference Room (Doors 8 & 9). The event will feature a presentation on silent prayer, group discussion, and a silent prayer workshop. Participants may bring food and beverages to the workshop. According to Keeler, “Silent prayer is a simple look turned towards Jesus. It is an intimate contact with the Living God. This prayer from the heart enables us to meet the person of Christ, to truly know ourselves and to give ourselves ever more fully to him.” A small, free-will donation is requested from all attendees to help defray Ms. Keeler’s costs for producing the workshop’s materials.
