Mr. Jim Thunder will lead a seminar for grades 6-8 and another for grades 9-12 on Great Speeches. The seminars will be virtual and there is no fee for his time or for materials. The frequency, days and times will be discussed by interested participants. In 2018-2020, he led seminars on Augustine, Aquinas, Hopkins, Newman, Aristotle, John Paul II, and more. This new seminar on Great Speeches will include St. Paul, Shakespeare, Lincoln, Patrick Henry, Frederick Douglass, Martin Luther King, Bishop Sheen, St. Teresa of Kolkata, Pope St. John Paul II, Ronald Reagan, Churchill. Mr. Thunder double-majored in government and theology at Notre Dame, obtained his master’s from the University of Virginia with the thesis “Aquinas on Marriage,” and his law degree from Georgetown.
