Welcome Our New Assistant Principal Sister Kathryn Teresa Clemmer

Sister Kathryn Teresa Clemmer is a member of the Sisters, Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Congregation. Sister made her final vows in August of 2020.  She grew up in many places but spent much of her childhood in Laurel, Maryland.

Before she entered religious life, she lived in Manassas and worked at St. Joseph School in Herndon. She is excited to be back in Virginia!  She is a graduate of The Catholic University with a BA in Elementary Education, Providence College with an M.Ed in Special Education, and West Chester University with a M.Ed in Literacy. Sister Kathryn has been an elementary school teacher for 10 years teaching grades 3-6. Her previous mission was St. Catherine Laboure in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania where she taught third grade.

While she is sad to leave the classroom, she is excited about her new ministry as Assistant Principal! She is especially looking forward to praying with and serving the people of the St. James community.
