Today we begin the most intense preparation for Christmas. The pace picks up as we hasten to that feast. Up until now the Church’s liturgy has focused on the prophecies of our Lord’s coming. From this day forward the readings focus on the events surrounding His birth.
A great way to enter into the Church’s prayer and final preparations for Christmas is to pray the “O Antiphons.” These prayers are based on different titles and prophecies of our Lord. By reflecting on one each day, we ready ourselves for his birth.
