Praying the Novena to the Holy Spirit
There are only three steps to praying the Novena to the Holy Spirit:
- Each day's observance begins with the poem, reflection and prayer for that day.
- Then pray one Our Father, one Hail Mary and seven Glory be to the Fathers.
- Finally, pray the Act of Consecration and the Prayer for the Seven Gifts.
Whether you join us in our public recitation of the novena or plan to pray privately during your quiet time or with your family, it might be helpful to understand how to use the prayer booklet. The Act of Consecration to the Holy Spirit and the Prayer for the Seven Gifts of the Holy Spirit are located at the front of the booklet for easy access, but they come last in the daily prayers.

Starting on Friday, May 26, all are invited to begin a nine-day Novena to the Holy Spirit, requesting a new anointing for us on the great Feast of Pentecost. The Novena will be prayed together as a parish at 9:00am and 7:00pm, except on Sunday when it will take place before the 2:30pm Mass in Spanish and following the 5:00pm Holy Hour.
Handouts will be available in the church.
If you are unable to be with us physically in church, then please join us in praying this Novena during your private prayer time.
