Our Deacons

We are blessed to have two permanent deacons assist our parish in various ways.

Deacon Ed Gliot was ordained to the permanent diaconate on Saturday, January 18, 2014. He joins Deacon Jim Fishenden in serving the sacramental and spiritual needs of the people of St. James. Currently, he leads the High School PREP program on Tuesday evenings, among other responsibilities. Deacon Ed and his wife, Jean, have three daughters.

A parishioner with his wife, Nancy, for nearly 50 years, Deacon Jim was ordained in 1981. His children, Jim and Lisa, both attended St. James School. After retiring from the State Department, Deacon Jim served as the Director of Operations for our parish from 2009-2014. Though still active in parish life, Deacon Jim and Nancy are now enjoying their grandchildren.
