Resources for Sunday Readings

Small Group Formation

Why join a small group?

Small faith sharing communities have always been part of the Christian tradition. Ever since Jesus gathered his disciples, people have been talking about their journey with God among friends and acquaintances. Small groups offer a regular opportunity to share the Word of God, reflect on how we live our faith, and discuss the challenges of Christian life. They are an opportunity for fellowship and friendship, and most importantly for growing closer to God.

What is the topic and time commitment?

Often groups choose to reflect on the Sunday readings, but there are also faith sharing programs on Catholic spirituality, the teachings of the Church, and other topics including the liturgical seasons of Advent and Lent. Meetings take place weekly in a parishioner's home and last about 90 minutes. There is also a brief amount of reading to prepare for each meeting.

Who can participate?

All adults are welcome.
